We recommend riding boots or jodpurs boots with a small heel, however any closed toed flat shoe or boot can be worn. Runners are not recommended. Steel toe caps add extra protection.

Gloves

Gloves are highly recommended for your comfort and safety when leading and riding.

Back Protectors

Back protectors are highly recommended. These are not provided by the school. A well fitting back protector is compulsory for jumping cross country.

Clothes

Legs should be covered at all times ie. No shorts or skirts. It is essential to dress for comfort and the weather and waterproof trousers may be necessary. Jackets should be closed at all times to prevent spooking a horse.

No jewellery should be worn whilst riding or leading a horse.
